Job Purpose:

This role will support business development activity to the HCP Community for the greater market of Philadelphia and South New Jersey.
Key Job Responsibilities:
The Healthcare Sales Consultant will develop strategic business plans incorporating product knowledge and territory intelligence to achieve sales objectives.
Use current knowledge of competitors’ products and promotions to more effectively position GSK consumer products with customers.
Skilled in identifying and clarifying customer needs and expectations.
Demonstrate effective sales skills as indicated by preparation and organization of the sales call, account development, personal rapport, fact based (key message) selling, use of promotional materials, and customer commitment to GSK products.
Ability to conduct and facilitate certificate programs with Healthcare Providers.
Increase HCPs counseling capability with their patients with GSK conditions such as Tobacco Addiction
Take action to ensure that GSK & customer goals are aligned and met.
Assurance of confidentiality of proprietary information.
Focus on priority products and customer segments.
Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
Develop an overall sales call plan unique to the needs of the specific territory
Demonstrate knowledge of customers within the territory, including such factors as recommendation and prescribing patterns, and purchasing habits. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and profiles via call reporting software.
Safely store all product samples and maintain an accurate inventory of required drug and consumer products.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor?s degree or commensurate work experience

At least 2 years of experience of outside Pharmaceutical/Healthcare or Consumer Packaged Goods sales with territory and account management.

Business to business selling or practical experience in the Healthcare field

Presentation skills, ability to present to large groups

Manage materials weighing up to 25 lbs

Valid driver?s license and an insurable driving record


Must reside in greater Philadelphia metro area for consideration.

Ability to travel domestically as necessary, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel up to 20%.


Preferred Qualifications:

5-10 years of outside Pharmaceutical/Healthcare or Consumer Packaged Goods sales with territory and account management.
A successful track record with previous positions demonstrating leadership.
Judgment and decision making, effective communication skills and resilience in a sales environment.
Deep understanding of Healthcare Providers (HCP) Practice Guidelines.
Entrepreneurial spirit, high learning agility, judgment and decision making, effective communication skills and resilience in a sales environment.
Competency using Call Reporting software preferred. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
