This position is responsible for analyzing, organizing and coordinating a wide scope of clerical and administrative operations and procedures for the department of Spiritual Care and the Community Benefit Ministry. This includes establishing and maintaining all applicable department systems on the computer including but not limited to staff and volunteers schedules of attendance, recording grocery store certificates and meals for the needy, support of department budget reports and statistics. Provides support for the arrangement of meetings, special events, travel, and receipt of internal and external customers.
To perform the ongoing clerical and secretarial tasks necessary to operate the department. To provide administrative and technical support to the Director, Spiritual Care and Mission Services Operations. To provide support to the Spiritual care staff when needed, and support for special projects. To assume responsibility for special projects with direct supervision, exercising initiative and judgment and making decisions within the scope of the assigned authority. To coordinate and facilitate the flow of information among and between department staff, hospital departments and community contacts. Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.
Minimum Licensure/Certification Required (if applicable):
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Ability to clearly and professionally read, write and speak English. High school graduate with concentration in business and secretarial courses required; Associate?s Degree or Bachelors Degree preferred. Experience in human/health services environment preferred. Knowledge of various religious faiths, organizations, activities and terminology preferred. Strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently with little supervision and the ability to handle concurrent projects. Strong interpersonal skills including professional telephone skills and the ability to work with the community, staff, patients and families in a professional manner. Must type at least 45 wpm and possess computer skills. Prefer experience in Microsoft applications in a Windows environment including Word, Excel PowerPoint. Have the ability to use Group Wise, and have working knowledge of these programs together. Must have experience in drafting letters, memos, and spreadsheet applications and have the ability and skills to format, distribute and maintain department communications and reports. Knowledge of office administration and the ability to create and maintain organized systems.
