[Full-time] Strategic Initiatives Operations Manager at The Vitality Group

Location: Illinois

The ideal candidate will help implement and manage various partnerships, such as BI Worldwide and Silver. This person will assist Megan in on boarding these partnerships, as well as managing the relationship during BAU. He/She will provide support and guidance to the AE who will be the point of contact and providing strategic guidance to the partners and clients.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for providing execution, oversight and strategic planning on key initiatives
  • Lead related strategic initiatives and operational functions to support new and existing partner accounts
  • Drive the design and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiencies in operational processes, reduce risk through standardized approaches, and drive continuous improvement as this area of the business grows
  • Create reports and information that communicates complex information in a consumable format
  • Participate and assist the Director of Operations in the on boarding and implementation of partners
  • Own and understand strategic initiative workforce planning
  • Provide mentorship and guidance on performance, responsibilities and long-term goals of direct reports
  • Monitor and measure client program data and key performance measures. Report same to partners as well as Vitality management
  • Review client program data and work with partners to make meaningful insight and recommendations
  • Work close with the Account Executive to evaluate client engagement and identify any risks
  • Work closely with the Client Relations team to be kept apprised of new developments such as: new program features, best practices and tools to share with Partners
  • Ensuring processes and quality standards that are in partner?s best interest
  • Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors
  • Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
  • Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations
  • Raising performance and process issues to the appropriate areas of the business
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to compromise on solutions that work best for both Vitality and the client
  • Ensuring internal teams and partners are trained on new partner developments
  • Effectively manage expectations regarding outcomes, goals, and deliverables
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor?s degree from an accredited University or College

  • Excellent written and oral communication including presentation skills
  • Excellent client relations record
  • Project Management experience
  • Strong organization, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical, data management and PC skills including working knowledge of PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative manner in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment
  • Customer focused and responsive
  • Flexible regarding daily work assignments
  • Self-starter with the ability to achieve results independently as well as in a team environment
