Job Summary

The Commerical Support Business Partner is responsible for defining and leading the implementation of the credit and collection strategies supported by a set of policies and procedures in order to maximize sales while minimizing the risk on collections.


Job Responsibilities

  • Define and implement standard risk model (credit scoring) for evaluating customers? risk
  • Establish and ensure the appropriate credit metrics are in place
  • Manage relationships with Credit reporting agencies
  • Analyze and detect opportunities for process improvements and automation
  • Define and implement collection procedures that reduce the amount of delinquent customers and minimize losses
  • Establish and ensure the appropriate collection metrics are in place
  • Analyze and detect opportunities for process improvements and automation
  • Development of credit policies and procedures that supports the strategy in order to have healthy accounts receivables
  • Lead the review of AR policies and procedures every 6 months to ensure they are up do date
  • Design and implement the national Credit Committee
  • Ensure Credit Committee meetings take place and that their recommendations are implemented
  • Manage and Develop the Credit and Collections team across all regions
  • Ensure the team has the proper training and capabilities to perform the job
  • Build succession plans for direct reports and their direct reports
  • Design incentive plans for Collections and Salesforce teams based on customer portfolio and aligned to business needs
  • Build key metrics aligned to the defined incentive plans
  • Define the budget for the Credit and Collection department based
  • Ensure Credit and Collection expenses are aligned to the established Budget
  • Implement AR Analytics and Reporting that help decision making at all levels of the organization
  • Provide weekly insights and recommendations on Accounts Receivable to Top Management
  • Develop advanced analytics for AR in order to minimize collection Risk
  • Listen closely to team members at all levels to understand key motivators
  • Design and implement engagement strategy nationwide

Qualifications

Bachelor/Master degree in Administration, Public Accountant, Economy, or Finance


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Education in credit, accounting or other business related field.
  • Understanding of the business operations and good business judgment.
  • Problem solving skills with ability to analyze alternatives and recommend the best course of action
  • Experience as a negotiator.
  • Computer literate in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SAP
  • Diplomacy and ability to function as a senior leader in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage a team of higher level skilled managers.
  • Strong communication (both oral and written) and motivational skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate through influence.

Working Conditions

  • Capable of working in an open concept office environment

Physical Requirements

  • Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
  • Job involves sitting most of the time with walking or standing for brief periods of time.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, to communicate to employees/visitors
