We primarily do new builds, additions, renovations and everything in between for both Commercial and Residential projects. We have been in business over 36+ years and have a large portfolio of successful projects.

Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for: Greeting office guests, answering the phone, opening mail, bookkeeping duties that include accounts payable entry, payroll data entry, assisting with employee benefits, helping with construction documents, bids, filing, scanning and keeping the office clean and organized. It is crucial that the person has a positive attitude and willingness to learn and teach. A background in construction through prior work experience or higher education in the construction trades is preferred.

Training involves working closely with the Office Manager and/or the Accounts Payable person to assist with a variety of duties. This person will start by learning some of the basic day to day tasks involved in the running of a general construction firm in order to gain a better understanding of our company operations, become familiar with customers and employees while assisting with a variety of duties.

Essential Job Requirements:

5 Years experience with bookkeeping
Experience with Quickbooks Software, Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel, Word and Outlook), Google, Dropbox, Submittal Exchange and Adobe Software
A background in the Construction Industry is preferred
Current knowledge of electronic files, web browsers, etc.

Familiarity with the following is expected:

Entering Payables and Job Costing

Understanding & Setting up Electronic Payments
Assist with Year End Close-out

Making General Journal Entries
Payroll Data Entry
Assist with Weekly and Quarterly Tax Form Filing
Job Costing (Basic Understanding)
Certified Payroll Reporting and Verification
Assist with Health Insurance and Simple IRA

Bank, Credit Card Reconciliations
Updating & maintaining Insurance Certificates

Additional Qualifications:
Accuracy with numbers a must
Excellent Communication Skills both Verbal and Written
Excellent Record Keeping
Above average Typing Speed 60 wpm and 10 Key
