Job Description

This position will support the vision, mission and strategic priorities of ESC Region 12 by providing assistance and support to the Department of Information Services.

  • Provide general secretarial support to the department director and department staff
  • Manage workshops/sessions for department
  • Handle travel arrangements and schedules
  • Effectively communicate and assist with tasks and projects
  • Maintain department budgets, invoicing, purchase orders and amendments
  • Coordinate office procedures and systems with department support staff
  • Maintain leave and time reporting records
  • Assist the department with the support of TSDS PEIMS and TxEIS and Skyward Software and services to School Districts.
  • Participate in ESC Region 12 and/or other professional development opportunities


  • Associate’s degree preferred
  • At least 3 years of office experience
  • Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) background is a plus but not required
  • Experience with TxEIS or Skyward software is a plus but not required
  • School District District or Campus experience is a plus but not required

Special Knowledge/Skills

  • Proficiency in word processing, Excel, Windows and Google Apps
  • Possess strong secretarial and office procedure skills
  • Manage multiple projects in a flexible and adaptable environment due to a variety of clients served
  • Handle critical deadlines, demonstrate initiative in difficult situations
  • Complete assigned projects with minimal supervision by multi-tasking and prioritizing
  • Maintain a comprehensive filing and retrieval system
  • Must have the ability to work with customers who have diverse skills and experiences
  • Foster a pleasant work environment with a positive attitude, dependability, enthusiasm, and work as a team player
  • Possess effective organization, communication, telephone, and interpersonal skills
  • Participate in ESC Region 12 and/or other professional development opportunities
