Position Summary: The Carpenter, Journey Level II under limited supervision, constructs, repairs & maintains wood, formica, metal and plastic structures such as furniture, cabinets, shelves, doors, partitions and other parts of Hospital buildings. Is able to discern and calculate need for repairs. Has understanding of facilities, buildings, carpenter-required work. Understands all regulatory building codes, i.e. CBC Title 24 & L.A. City. Assists with general maintenance activities as directed.
Minimum Qualifications:3+ year?s carpentry experience or apprenticeship including experience in a healthcare experience.
Education/Licensure/Certifications: High school graduate or equivalent education and experience; some trade school or on-the-job training.
