JOB DESCRIPTION: Administrative Assistant
LOCATION: Danville
DEPARTMENT: Urology

JOB SUMMARY:
Provides administrative secretarial support for the Chief of Urology; provides secretarial support to the director of the Urology Residency Program; services as lead secretary to assure coordination of daily operations within the office.
Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of the Urology Clinic in its efforts to provide quality patient care and patient satisfaction.
Works under the general supervision of the Clinic Nurse Coordinator.

Demonstrates ability to compose letters, memos, minutes, policies and procedures.

Demonstrates ability to function under significant time pressures.
Demonstrates the ability to work independently and as a team player as well as set priorities of own work and work of others.
Demonstrates ability to triage departmental inquiries and support multiple principals.
Demonstrates knowledge of office procedures.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Demonstrates understanding of basic computer uses required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Two years of post secondary education in a business field preferred.
Minimum of 2-5 years previous secretarial experience required. Previous administrative office experience preferred.
Requires at least one year of on the job training to become familiar with all job duties.
